Another Step In Our Attempt At World Domination

⊆ July 21st, 2008 by TylerJ | ˜ No Comments »

Well… maybe not a step toward world domination but I’m going to say it is any way. I’m one of the 10 Photographers that is going to be featured in the first Juried Exhibition: Emerging Photographers of Pennsylvania and Maryland at the ArtHouse Lounge on restaurant row in downtown Harrisburg. There’s only a small version of it below but mark your calendar for the opening reception on August 15th and come support and see it in full effect.

Mad Hatter is going to have Mad style

I just finished up knocking out a couple comps for our buddy Mad Hatter Productions. There is a couple liberating aspects to this project, first off every DJ site I have ever seen looks like digital diarrhea, so it feels great to actually get my hands on one and make it look like a professional is behind the turn tables. Another really cool part of this project is that Mad Hatter deals with the majority of the DJs you see at the night clubs throughout downtown harrisburg, so the “HEY DJ” feature I came up with yesterday is going to be super slick. Basically it works like this, say your heading out to the clubs and you have a couple song requests, its almost impossible to request a song to a DJ in a crowded loud club but if you use this feature you can send a request straight to the DJ even before you go out so its all ready in the mix when you get there. And you could do this for multiple locations on the same night so if you bar hopping then your covered. I can’t wait to get this bad boy live.MADHATTERCOMP.jpg

Papervision 3d Used Effectively

⊆ July 17th, 2008 by Pixelfader | ˜ No Comments »

Well last nite in my search across the Internet for new and innovative ways to assist our customers i came across a little gem on Yahoo.  Yahoo of course sells tons of banner ad placement for their customers for everything you can think of.  In this case we have a banner ad done for HP which if I didn’t know better looks like it was done with papervision as the interface reacts to mouse placement and rollover on the screen exactly the same as WhiteVoid’s killer UI. (http://www.whitevoid.com/application.html)

Anyhow check it out.  Very cool stuff and a technology that MudBrick is digging our grubby little fingers into slowly.

Voice

MudBrick Makes it’s Voice Heard!

Just a small observation from todays customer interactions, phone calls, etc. The more we talk to new customers and prospects the more we’re finding that people like the voice of our website. They like the straight forward attitude we portray and when we back that up in our interactions on the phone or in person it really positions us in the best possible spot for bringing in that new work and making the customer very comfortable with us. I don’t know about everoyne else but it seems the world is tired of the "suite and tie" boring, stuck up sales approach that’s laden with technical terms, and alot of sales BS. It seems they want someone to tell them directly what can be done and how much it’s going to cost. No deflecting, no burying them in rhetoric. God i love that the world is finally coming around! :)

On a side note we just delivered a pretty sweet outsource project for one of our outsource customers andCulture (Website Link) . We completed a refit of the myspace for their Spotobe product. (Spotobe Myspace Link) Man the new myspace system is a bit restrictive but this was a cool project to get involved with. Incidentally anyone who needs their MySpace freshened up we have the in-house know how to help you out!
