The MudBrick Interactive Office UT Project
by admin on Apr.19, 2010, under Miscellaneous, MudBrick Internal Projects, WIP Projects
Well, I decided to share some of a pet project i’ve been working on at lunches and after hours wherever possible. The idea is to build an interactive walk through of our new office space for customers who haven’t been here before and would like to see the environment we work in. Now the environment is cool but pretty basic so it’s more about capturing the details
and aesthetics of it all than a “walk through” really. To do this, my first choice is going to be to develop the office environment in the Unreal Engine using Maya for the 3d modeling assets and the Engine to handle the first person style walkthrough and all the lighting/rendering bells and whistles.
Here I’m just posting a quick screen cap from Maya to get wet your whistle. If you want to see more check out the MudBrick Facebook page where we’ll be sharing renders throughout the process as well as development notes etc. Love to hear any feedback you have or ideas as we go through the build out, should be a lot of fun.

MudBricks New Site Goes Live!
by admin on Aug.13, 2009, under MudBrick Internal Projects
Well our interim website is live and kicking. We wanted to do something that was a little more creative than our original vanilla site. We wanted something that would at least grab a users attention for a little while until our full interactive site is complete. So what you will see when you hit the new site is some of the same creativity and attitude that has made us a name in the industry and continues to garner us customers.
For this one we did a little bit of everything and decided to do it on a One Page style site to deliver the content quick and painless. Add in some Flash, Social Media integration and bells and whistles and it’s a good placeholder until our full interactive is complete (in production now, aiming for a November release). As you may have already seen as well, our blog got a redesign as well to tie in a little better.
