MudBrick Team Poster – An Exercise in Relaxing
by admin on Apr.29, 2010, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Well i spent the evening tonight relaxing a bit and just having fun with Photoshop. It all starts with a green screen shot of our design team that we did at Harrisburg University a few weeks ago. Next step was finding some imagery that i liked to tie into it and start concepting the background and foreground elements. I wanted it to be a movie poster style piece and something hot, edgy and fun. Below are the results and the green screen shot that was used.

Not Everyone Can Draw, But You Can Try
by admin on Jun.04, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Well MudBrick is going to take part in an event like not too many others, “National Drawing Day”. It seems like a really good concepts and we’re always up to show the world that not only can we design but we are also actually artist. Not just guys who can use photoshop and chop up and mash together designs using stock photos like alot of design shops. Our goal for this little event is to create at least one to two pieces worthy of carrying the MudBrick brand on them and pimp the skillz if you know what i’m saying. It’ll help that it might be fun too. Anyone else interested in participating drop us a line and maybe we can collaborate!

I Shot Up A Fashion Show With A Digital Camera
by admin on Jun.03, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Last night I went and shot some photos of a fashion show in York PA. It was a rad set up in this really industrial building in down town York. The models started on the 3rd floor and you watch them walk all the way down the stairs to the runway. The stairs were wrapped around this gnarly clear elevator that was bringing the models up while others were coming down. All in all awesome set up along with very awesome clothing, for example one of the coats a male model was wearing was an authentic British ‘red coats’ jacket from the revolutionary war, also some very cool underground clothing lines like my brand Guilty Pleasure Clothing (shameless plug) were also represented. More photos to come_TylerJÂ

Just another example of the genius of YouTube viral video creation.
MudBrick Choose: Army of Two for Game of the Month
by admin on Mar.26, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun

Well i broke down last week and bought a new game for our PS3 and it’s very, very cool. We picked up “Army of Two”. It’s a co-op style game where you can play split screen with a buddy and go through the story line and play online as well. You can also play it single player and give your partner orders via a fairly intuitive interface. The games AI is good, not supper but challenging enough that your enemies at least defend themselves.
The games built around the idea that you and your partner will work together to outflank opponenets, and in general work as a team against in some cases, very difficult odds. Some opponents are heavily armoured in front so you have to shoot them from the side or back, this requires cover fire, and your team mate taking advantage of “Aggro” which is a little meeter each player has which indicates how much attention the enemy gives them, a high aggro meter on one partner can mean the other is nearly ignored by enemies. The tactics are done well and the games graphics are amazing. This is an Unreal Engine game so no big surprise there.
Overall we give this game three out of 4 kicks in the ass. Definately worth a play.
Some New Stylish Things Coming Our Way
by admin on Mar.06, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Well we were working on our own personal website lately and working on some shameless self promotion and we came across some pretty cool stuff that’s coming down the pike that’s not from MudBrick but still very very cool looking.
Wanted
First up is this cool looking flick called Wanted. It’s based off of a comic book series, as most descent flicks are now-a-days and looks very interesting. Now this movie may not be to everyone’s tastes but it’s a action movie with Angelina Jolie and my personal favorite actor Morgan Freeman so it can’t be all bad. Morgan doesn’t really do bad movies. Below are a few screen grabs we got from the trailer for your amusement as well as a link to check out the trailer yourself.
The next very cool thing e found is a new blues inspired video game called “Wet”
The game looks very stylish in it’s graphical delivery and has some very cool music and aesthetics. Not to mention a cool looking main character that looks like she might be intersting to find out more about from the game trailer. Definately one we’ll be checking out for the Xbox 360 when it comes out. (PS: Wish this was coming out for PS3 as well).
Gaming Technology Leaps & Bounds
by admin on Feb.21, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Having been a huge fan of the Unreal Tournament line of games since i was part owner of a game store in Camphill Shopping center called “The Bunker” i always buy the latest versions of these games when the come out. That includes the XBox 360 “Gears of War” which was an insanely good game with unbelievable hollywood style graphics. Now we are starting to see the gaming industry take giant leaps forward to a point where the production capabilities will make people want to stay home and play a game rather than spend $12 bucks to go see a movie. Linked up below is a video of some of the new technology available to the Unreal 3 Technology developers and it includes a feature called Matinee which allows developers to literally script and animate a scene similiar to a hollywood studio. The nice part is alof of these tools come with the Unreal Tournament line of games in the editing tools they provide you with for creating mods, maps etc.
MudBrick has been knee deeps in this kind of tech for a while doing 3d modeling for the mod community and items like this make us very excited for the future and the ability to potentially film a full length movie within a game engine like this. Enjoy!

Harrisburg, PA Auto Show
by admin on Feb.18, 2008, under Stuff We Do For Fun
Well myself and the wife decided to check out the Auto Show this year like we do every year and see what new cars catch our eye. The jewel of the show this year was the new Camaro, it was absolutely sick looking. With huge rims and tires, a snarling look to the front fascia and aggressive lines this is defiantely the next big thing as far as retro muscle cars go. They also had a Dodge Charger Super Bee at the show which was pretty cool but overall just another Charger with different engine and same overall aesthetics. Check out our photo blog here and see what you think of some of the trick cars for the coming years.
